"Grizzly Man" on Discovery

"Grizzly Man," the absorbing Werner Herzog documentary about Timothy Treadwell, is featured this weekend on Discovery Channel. It showed Friday night at 8 PM ET and repeats Saturday at 8 PM ET. I've seen it on DVD and still can't believe it wasn't nominated for an Oscar. I did not see the Friday showing, so I don't know how Discovery presented it. The film is R-rated and has a fair amount of profanity and a certain amount of violence. If you're curious about the film, but didn't intend to rent it, watch it on Discovery. If you were going to rent it, check it out. But, if Discovery pan-and-scans it, wait and rent it on DVD. It is a great movie and should be viewed in its original form.
