"Shaft" Director Gordon Parks Dies
Filmmaker, photographer, and pioneer Gordon Parks is dead at the age of 93. Most famous for "Shaft," Parks was the first African-American photographer at Life Magazine. He went on to film "The Learning Tree" and then "Shaft." Parks helped pave the way for every African-American filmmaker and has earned his place in history.
